Jessica Altmann
Jessica’s a girl/young woman from Germany of an alternate version of Earth, with a bit of added magic. The story is that just after graduating, her estranged brother asked her to watch his house in his absence, which, it turns out, she has to share with some rather strange co-habitants, including an imp, a fairy, and a vampire.
She’s a bit of a geek/nerd, particularly interested in (reading about) nature, and very shy. When dealing with other people, she tries to avoid confrontations, to the point that she’ll usually smile and nod rather than contradict someone, when it concerns a matter of opinion topic. When she hears/reads someone making a factual error she will more likely speak up – but more likely with a suggestive question than a direct contradiction.

Appearance
- General: female, caucasian human, 1,60m/5′1”, slim-to-average built (and if you give her balloon breasts, I will cry); fair skin (she’d probably get some quite pale freckles, too, but I’m too lazy to draw them)
- Hair: red-blonde, fine, relatively short
- Eyes: blue-grey
- Face: Oval, cheekbones are not pronounced. Round, short/weak chin. Small nose with concave back and slightly upturned, round tip.
- Preferred clothes: sneakers, Jeans; teeshirts, poloshirts or other short-sleeved shirts when it’s warm enough, sweatshirts or turtlenecks otherwise, all without prints; she prefers muted colours, either pastels or dark ones.
- Accessories: She dislikes jewellery, she even carries her watch more often in her pocket than around her wrist. When she goes for a walk/shopping she’ll usually take a small canvas rucksack with her, sometimes she’ll carry a folder with a sketchpad and pencil around (usually when she’s headed to the park or zoo).
Abilities, Activities etc
- Her greatest talent is a good memory; she picks up all kinds of facts, most of which are of no practical use whatsoever.
- She’s comfortable with (Windows) computers (up to adding hardware components and getting them to run, or setting up a small home network), and spends a lot of time surfing the web. Her machine would be some or other 15” laptop.
- Walks, either to the town centre to shop for art supplies or CDs or somesuch, parks, zoo, or woods
- Drawing/sketching. She may take a folder with paper and pencil with her for walks, but what she’d draw in public would be plants, buildings or maybe animals, not people.
- She deals with what she gets into as best as she can, which means in quite a few cases running away as fast as she can (which isn’t awfully fast).
